Hypernormalisation

In times of calm and peace, beware, For shadows lurk in hidden lair,

With smiling faces, truths they bend,

Deceit and lies, their whispered friend.

Hypernormal sets the stage,

With subtle strokes, they turn the page,

Indifference grows, the danger near,

As freedom fades, consumed by fear.

Dictators rise with golden tongue, Their praises sung, their praises sung,

The masses lulled in false delight,

Oblivious to looming night.

We must not yield to their deceit,

Stand firm, unbowed, on steady feet,

For if we sleep, the cost is high, Our liberty will surely die.

So heed this warning, loud and clear,

The path to darkness starts right here,

Resist the charm, the siren's call,

And fight for freedom, one and all.
